Top FREE APPS On My Phone
If you’re like me, then you probably spend a concerning amount of time on your cellphone! Instead of figuring out how to minimize the amount of time we spend tuned-in to the digital world (which is honestly what I should be doing), I’m embracing it today by sharing my top FREE phone apps 🤣 If we’re going to spend a lot of time on our phones, we should at least make it a great environment to hang out it— right?! Let’s get started!
Co-Star
Co-star is an astrology app that gives you life predictions based on your time and place of birth. If you’ve ever wanted to learn more about your sign, this app is really great for providing detailed explanations of your birth chart. Psst. in case you’re wondering, I’m an Aquarius ;)
I personally LOVE the daily notifications I get from Co-Star— sometimes the messages are deep, sometimes they’re sassy, and sometimes I’m just left wondering what the heck they’re talking about, haha! I’m always sharing screenshots with my friends— it’s a fun one!
The Pattern
The Pattern is similar to Co-Star in that they are both astrology based apps, but The Pattern gives you more in-depth readings on your personality that are really interesting to read through. When it comes to astrology/horoscopes/personality types, I don’t take them as 100% fact….I look at them as fun tools for prompting more daily self-reflection. So even if a reading feels very unlike me, the fact that I’m able to recognize that is a method of learning more about myself! ….but honestly, more often than not, I’m scared by how accurate The Pattern is 😮🤪
Libby
One of my favourite apps for book lovers— Libby allows you to borrow ebooks, audiobooks and magazines from your local library! That means you can read thousands of titles FOR FREE without ever having to leave the comfort of your home *excuse me while I go drool for a second*
If you’re a big reader, then you know that buying books can get pricey, so services like Libby make reading a lot more affordable!
Clue
Clue is a period-tracking app that I’ve been using since high school (who knew I’d end up with years worth of data about my cycle)! Aside from the benefit of being able to know when to expect my period, using Clue has also made me understand my body and cycle so much better. You can read up information on symptoms, cycle variation, period length and more (there is a paid component if you want to get more educational resources, but the free version has a lot to it)!
Duolingo
It’s a goal of mine to get better at speaking Portuguese to my grandparents, and apps like Duolingo really make the process of learning a new language entertaining! The app gamifies the learning process by making it so you have to pass quizzes to advance to different tiers. I personally get a kick out of the story section of the app where you follow along with conversations— the storylines are usually pretty bizarre! 😂
What’s your favourite app on your phone? Let me know in the comments below! If you’re looking for more posts like this one, be sure to check out my blog post on HOW I TAKE AND EDIT MY INSTAGRAM PHOTOS! Until next time, XO —C
