November BULLET JOURNAL Plan With Me
Month-At-A-Glance & Gratitude Log
You might think that I’m once again pasting in kraft paper, but I actually am pasting in a special cardstock paper from Michaels that— if you look at it up close— has a grain pattern that looks like a tree trunk!
I used a micron in some 08 to draw out a mini calendar* and below the calendar I added a section for writing down key dates (my one regret here is that I went a bit too large with the “key dates” title, but otherwise I like that this was a pretty minimal look).
On the right page I decided it’d be a great spot to add in a gratitude log. I’ve been creating gratitude logs on and off in my journal for years and it’s genuinely been a practise that has been so helpful at changing my perspective during situations where it’s easy to fixate on the negative.
I then used my *muji gel ink pen in size 0.5 to write a Brene Brown quote I found on Pinterest that says, “I don’t have to chase extraordinary moments to find happiness— it’s right in front of me if I’m paying attention and practising gratitude.”
Self Care Ideas & Habit Tracking
When I saw this *gold-pink marble paper, I knew I had to have it and incorporate it into a self care focused spread because marble just makes me think of spas, beautiful bathrooms, and pamper sessions! On the top left page I drew out some habit trackers with a ruler and my micron pen to keep track of hydration, meditation, and reading sessions.
On the second half of the left page, I created a designated spot for keeping track of the books I read (there’s a spot to write down the title, author, and my rating). Speaking of books, if you’ve got book recommendations for me, please share them below!
On the right page I pasted in a *white piece of cardstock that I prepped with a quote that says “self care is giving the world the best of you, instead of what’s left of you.” I also pasted in a kraft paper moon and set of stars that I showed myself cutting out using *my new Silhouette Cameo machine in a recent video.
Beside my leaf doodle, I created a spot for some self-care to do’s like creating a pump up playlist, meal prepping one meal of the week, putting your phone on do not disturb mode, having a morning stretch, reading poetry, etc. etc. This was definitely my favourite spread for the month!
It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas….
I had asked you guys on my Instagram stories what spread requests you had for November and believe it or not, there was a high amount of christmas spread requests (AHHH)! This first spread is a gift buying tracker!
The spread itself is fairly simple— I created a basic table to keep track of who I am buying for, what gift idea I have, whether I ended up making a purchase online or in-person, the expected delivery date for online orders, and the total amount spent.
The second holiday spread I created in this “plan with me” and it’s a holiday budget and spending tracker. I feel like this is a time of year where we can all get carried away with a bit too much spending— not just on gifts, but also on things like food and clothes and decor— so I think having a plan for attack is really important. The holidays, at the end of the day, are all about spending time with people you love so you don’t want to add the stress of money to it.
There’s a section to write down a total budgeted amount for the holiday season and a section to break that number down into different categories. Then I created a tables with 4 columns: a space to write down the item(s)purchased, the location of where it was bought, what category of spending it falls under, and the price!
Weekly Spread
This weekly spread is made up with a lot of different sized cut out rectangles… it was really quick to put together because I didn’t have to measure out precise rectangles.
I used my micron in 08 once again to add the titles to each date’s rectangle and I pre-made the lists so that all I have to do when this week comes around is fill in my to-do lists!
To finish it off, I filled in some gaps with two poems from Rupi Kaur’s book, “The Sun and Her Flowers.”
