Stocking Stuffer Ideas
One of my favourite parts about Christmas morning is sitting in the family room with my brother and parents, around the fireplace, and one-by-one opening our stocking! So today, I thought I’d share some unique STOCKING STUFFER IDEAS for those of you who may be struggling to think of things to get your loved ones…..let’s do this!
Post-it Notes
Whether you’re a stationery lover or not, no one can deny how handy post-it notes are! Grab a package in someone’s favourite colour so they can start the new year off right with beautiful-looking reminders and to-do lists.
For an extra fun post-it experience, grab solid black ones with a white pen!
Fabric shaver
Winter is a time of year when everyone is wearing sweaters and jackets...unfortunately that also means dealing with pilling fabric! Fabric shavers are a great way to remove the pills and give your garments a second-life!
Scratch-and-Win Tickets
I’m not here trying to endorse gambling, but a scratch and win is a great stocking addition— they’re a blast to scratch, and you could potentially be gifting someone the jackpot 🤪
Fun fact: my mom always put a $10 scratch and win gift pack in her and my dad’s stockings growing up...now that my brother and I are of legal age, we also get one! After we open presents and have our coffees in hand, we love scratching them together and chatting….it’s a small moment, but one I look forward to each year :)
Peppermint Halo
Peppermint Halo is one of my favourite essential oils from Saje. I always have a bottle around to put small drops behind my neck or on my temples when I feel a headache coming on….it smells amazing and, unlike some oils, I actually can feel the peppermint working!
Dry Brush
Nothing says “I care about you” quite like the gift of exfoliation! Dry brushing feels amazing to do before hopping into the shower….I have a baby brush meant for the bikini area that I love using whenever I know I’m shaving (I will go to great lengths to avoid the dreaded ingrown hair)!
Fill-in Journals
If you want to inspire a person in your life to do some self-reflection, fill-in journals are an amazing stocking stuffer. There’s so many great options on the market!
The Five Minute Journal is a gratitude journal that you fill in daily with highlights from your day. The Q&A a Day — Five Year Journal is a journal that asks you a different question everyday— there’s a spot on each day’s page to write down a response in year one, two, three, four, and five so you can see your previous year(s)’ responses!
Toiletries
As I’ve gotten older, getting toiletries in my stocking is the best thing ever (it means I don’t have to spend my own money on getting them myself haha)! My mom makes a point of adding things like our favourite body wash, loofah, toothpaste, shampoo, cotton pads, etc. The moral of the story here: stocking stuffers don’t have to be glamorous to be amazing!
Cord Wraps
Everyone these days has to deal with excessive amounts of wires from charging cables. Cord wraps are a really convenient way to organize your wires so that they don’t take over your life!
Reusable Shopping Bags
You’re at the cash register making a purchase, and the cashier asks you the question: “do you need a bag"?”
Your heart stops, for you have realized you forgot your reusable bag at home *cue the sad music*
Never forget a reusable bag again with these awesome bags from *Baggu! I’m obsessed with these bags because they come in tons of adorable designs, and they fold up into nothing (so you can always fit them into a bag/purse/pocket) 😍 I also love the fact that the straps are big enough to wear on your arm like you would any other bag— makes walking through the city with your purchases so much more comfortable. I’ve bought multiple of them this year so I can store them permanently in my go-to purses.
Hat and Mitts
As a Canadian, I know how brutal winter can be— but it’s a lot more manageable when you’re equipped with the right gear! A warm touque and/or a solid pair of gloves is a stocking addition that your loved one will appreciate during the next snow storm!
Chapstick
Again, winter = cold weather = chapped lips! ❅ One can never have too many chapsticks around! If you’re looking for a natural lipstick option, my cousin sells these amazing lip butters on her shop here! For a luxe lip balm option, *Fresh Beauty has a great selection of options!
Beeswax Wraps
Beeswax wraps have become a new staple in my kitchen— they’re easy to clean, are flexible enough to seal a variety of bowls/packages, and prevent me from using excess plastic wrap!
Ho-Ho-Howwwww was that?! Did you get some ideas?! Let me know your go-to stocking stuffer in the comments below! Looking for more holiday inspo? Check out these GIFT IDEAS FOR STATIONERY LOVERS! Until next time, Xo —C.
