MAY BULLET JOURNAL PLAN WITH ME 2020
Did anyone else feel like April FLEW BY?! March felt like such a long month, and then April just went into overdrive. April definitely was a month of adapting to this temporary new normal….at this point I feel like I’ve found my groove with working from home at my parents, but I’m definitely experiencing an emotional rollercoaster every day.
With all of us spending a lot of time at home, I wanted to create spreads this month that would be really helpful during this time. I can’t wait for you guys to see what I put together…
The Month-At-A-Glance and Weekly Spread
I decided to make both of these staple spreads one-pagers for May. The month-at-a-glance is one I usually use to write down big events I’m having throughout the month, but in a period of quarantine…..I don’t really have anywhere to go, haha! The mini calendar will come in handy when planning out future weekly spreads, and any noteworthy events will be jotted down in the column to the right of it.
The weekly spread this month is designed to give me (or any of you who choose to replicate it in your journal) enough space to give my week structure without having to be too detailed. On Mondays, I usually like to sit down and figure out what each day will look like, and this is a great spread for that because I can write the main task in the table at the top of the page. Any specific to-dos for the week can just be written in a general list at the bottom.
Spring Cleaning Checklist
Am I looking forward to cleaning my apartment when I’m back in the city? Absolutely not. But this checklist will really come in handy. When you have to tackle a lot of cleaning, breaking everything up into small steps makes the process a lot less intimidating— it also makes it easier to tackle a big project slowly by doing one or two tasks a day. I recently organized my childhood bedroom closet and came across some of the most random things….if you haven’t seen it yet, check it out here! Maybe it’ll help give you some inspo to organize an area in your home you’ve been procrastinating with.
To-Be-Read Shelf
Sometimes a basic list of books to read just isn’t enough pizazz! I love how these book doodles turned out….the spines of the books will be the perfect spot to write down some books I want to read over the next month or so. Side note: if you’re ever curious about what I’m reading, you should check me out on goodreads. I am challenging myself this year to read 100 books, so I’m constantly updating my progress :)
Mood Tracker
I know a lot of us are experiencing a wide range of emotions lately— I feel like one minute I’m fine and the next minute, reality can hit me out of nowhere. So I figured now, more than ever, it’d be helpful to have a place to document the emotions I’m going through. At the end of the week, I can take a moment to reflect on any themes or specific moments that influenced my mood. I love giving mood trackers context….I think it makes them more interesting to revisit in the future (it almost transforms the mood tracker into a snapshot journal for different periods in time).
